Are these photographs really from the Library of Congress?
Yes. Every image is sourced from United States public domain collections — the Library of Congress (including the Carol M. Highsmith Archive and the FSA photography program), NASA, the National Park Service, and other federal archives. Each product description names its source. We restore every frame from the original master file, not a web copy. (The archives don't endorse our store — public domain means the work belongs to everyone, including you.)
What exactly am I buying?
A framed, ready-to-hang giclée print: archival pigment inks on 200gsm enhanced matte fine art paper, a 2.4mm conservation-grade snow white mount, shatter-resistant Perspex glazing, and a hand-finished solid wood box frame in black. Sizes are 12x16", 18x24", and 24x36" (frame size; the visible print sits within the mount).
How long until my print arrives?
Each print is made to order — allow 2–4 business days for production and 3–7 business days for delivery, with tracking emailed when it ships. U.S. shipping is free.
What if it arrives damaged?
We'll make it right. Email us here within 30 days with your order number and a photo, and we'll send a free replacement or refund you in full — your choice. Because everything is made to order, we don't accept returns for change of mind, so take your time with the size guide.
Will the print look like it does on my screen?
Very close — with the honest caveat that screens are backlit and matte paper isn't, so prints read slightly softer and richer than a glowing display. That's the character of fine art printing, and it's why galleries use it.
How do I hang it?
Every frame arrives with hanging hardware attached — a cobra hook on most sizes. One nail, thirty seconds, done.
Do you ship internationally?
